Cursed Canvas
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Edit: I'm sorry if anyone has had trouble downloading the game, I'm still learning how to use Itch and didn't realize I needed to tag my files. All versions should be downloadable now!
Two thieves, Eleanor and Sylvia, have broken in to steal a painting, but Syl thinks the whole ordeal seems poorly thoughtout.

Our two motley thieves have such a fun dynamic in their dialogue, I really enjoyed this! And your little subtle touches with Eleanor's animations and expressions made this all the more fun to play!
I know these jam games are usually one-off ideas, but as I see others saying I too would love to see more from these two if you ever wanted to revisit them! With your charming writing I've no doubt you could cook up some more supernatural shenanigans here~
I adore your art style and writing!! The little animations and expressions were very endearing, and I fell in love with the characters and their dynamic even within the short length of the game.
Their dialogue was snappy and hilarious (that line about the baby statues made me laugh!), and it's thrown into high relief against the creepy nature of their setting. I also loved the multiple endings! And the music was an excellent choice, amping up the mysterious vibes. So many things to love about this game.
It's also funny because my O2A2 entry has a slightly similar concept to yours, so it was a real coincidence to come across yours and play it! :D Awesome work!
Thank you so much for playing and for your kind words!!💕 I'm new to writing character dialogue like this, so I'm really happy knowing you enjoyed it and that the jokes landed (the baby statues line was one of my favorites)!! I love comedy/horror settings and Eleanor and Sylvia were so fun to write for.
The art and animation were definitely the most time intensive and fun to do, so it means a ton that you liked it! Genuinely, it makes me so happy that you found so much to love about the game and characters!! I'm definitely not done with these two, either, so keep an eye out and I might end up doing some bigger projects with Eleanor and Syl in the future!
Also, I'm so excited to check your game out! The connection is a really fun coincidence, and I look forward to playing it soon!! :D
Honestly one of the better short games I’ve got the chance to play. The artwork is incredibly stylized and the music adds beautiful ambience to the whole scene. I wanna see more from these characters ASAP! 💕
Thank you so much for playing!!💕I'm so happy you enjoyed it and I'd love to do more with these characters sometime soon!
