Hypnagogic Abyss

I honestly started to think that this guidebook might end up as my final will and testament if I wasn't careful. The Imps and Aquanauts can be rough already, sure, but with all the recent Phantasm attacks too? Yeah, try proofreading while some panicked human tries to use your own head as a LAMP. Well, it was worth it if it can keep at least a few people from needing to be rescued just because they didn't bring a map. I don't know how many more of those distress calls I can handle right now. Help a girl out and do a quick once-over of this for me, okay? I'd reread it myself, but I gotta go fix the fracture in my glass that a Scrat so kindly gave me.

HYPNAGOGIC ABYSS is a massive, dream-like expansion to Brave Zenith that was made in a month for the 2022 Brave Jam!

Inspired by games like Enter the Gungeon and Yume Nikki, Hypnagogic Abyss attempts to create an absurd, dream-like expansion to several key features of Brave Zenith! These additions include:

• An all-new origin
• 3  shop items
• 10 new and unique monsters
• Full illustrations for every new entry listed above!

Combined with five whole pages of lore detailing an abridged history of how the Deep Sprawl and its regions came to be, Hypnagogic Abyss totals in at 25 brand-new pages of content that you can add to your game! Be it with the Backrooms-esque corridors of the ruined Neon Fountains Mall, the cavernous gardens of the Eldritch Ruins, or the warm and welcoming streets of Lodestar, the Hypnagogic Abyss beckons all adventurers to enter.

Also! Creator's note here: While I'm not sure if I could get it done within the rest of the jam time, I am very much considering adding an adventure module to this expansion! In addition, if there's any content you'd like to see more of or wish had been included in the base expansion, let me know!
